Reports guitarist/bassist AE, "At the moment, we are writing material for our third album – working title, Scorn – and we have about seven songs finished. AZRAEL's recently released Obdurate/Unto Death makes available two rare, pre-debut recordings. The Post-modern Black Metal gods are currently writing material for their next album Act V to be released in 2009. Limited Edition Gatefold Double LP’s for Act III and Act IV, each with exclusive bonus material and alternate art and layout have also been recently completed, with release dates to be announced shortly!

BAHIMIRON drummer Blaash offers the following update: “[Newly released album] Southern Nihilizm is spreading like AIDS in Africa thanks to the MORIBUND propaganda campaign, causing general ill and discomfort, or so some of the reviews have stated. We just played our first live show in two years with Inquisition, Nokturne, and others in Los Angeles. This was the first show that Grimlord was free to spend his entire assault on vokills, and it showed in the raw energy put out. We will be supporting HORNA + BLOOD STAINED DUSK in November in Texas. Our split with Unchrist is due later this year or early next year, on Graveless Slumber Records. Long-running, newly-signed MORIBUND black metal band BLOOD STAINED DUSK have just completed the recording for new album Black Faith Inquisition. Running 72 minutes in length, Black Faith Inquisition is the Alabama band's first album in four years and also their debut for MORIBUND. Drummer Profana reports, "We finished at 2 a.m. in the morning under a full moon! The finished product sounds 1000 times better than the promo. All the little nuances on every instrument come out completely now, and are no longer buried and washed around in the mix - the clarity is much better!" Black Faith Inquisition will be released November 18th, during BLOOD STAINED DUSK's American tour with MORIBUND hordes HORNA. The hardest-working band in black metal, DODSFERD has two new albums ready to go: Death Set the Beginning of My Journey, slated for worldwide release on November 18th, and Suicide and the Rest of Your Kind Will Follow, to be released January 2009. In addition to those two albums, DODSFERD has also recorded a brand-new 7” EP entitled Another Two of Your Scars and the World is Dead, release date TBA. “After that, I’m going to work on the third part of (this) trilogy!” exclaims mainman Wrath. “Also, soon I am going to start rehearsing with DODSFERD in order to spread my propaganda live on stage!” For more info, consult www.moribundcult.com.

Italian black metal cult HIEMS have completed their second album (and first for MORIBUND), title Worship Or Die. Michigan death-thrashers NOCTURNAL FEAR will be playing select dates of the upcoming HORNA / BLOOD STAINED DUSK “Blood – Fire – Death Across America tour.” They’ll also be playing a show with legendary American death metal band Arghoslent in Baltimore, Maryland on October 18th (www.talkingheadclub.com). While the band’s latest MORIBUND album Code of Violence continues to destroy critics and posers alike, the band reports that they’re writing music for their next album and are nearly finished, so likely they’ll be entering the studio in early 2009.
